The Company

Who we are

Why we’re different

Clinically Led, Not Just Clinically Supported
Every mission is planned and overseen by our senior clinical medics with aeromedical experience. That means clinical decisions are made by a multi disciplinary team, not delegated to non‑medical coordinators, ensuring the right level of care from origin to destination.

Operational Excellence and Speed
Our operations centre is staffed around the clock by specialists in aviation logistics, permits and international clearances. We combine pre‑existing diplomatic and insurer relationships with proactive planning to reduce delays and avoid last‑minute complications.

Truly Bespoke Patient Care
We design each transfer to the patient’s medical needs and the family’s priorities. That includes bespoke equipment, tailored in‑flight teams, and flexible routing to preserve clinical stability and dignity throughout the journey.

Safety, Governance and Training
We operate to rigorous clinical governance and aviation safety standards. All clinical staff receive regular training in aeromedical medicine, in‑flight critical care and infection control, and our aircraft meet strict maintenance and equipment protocols.

Global Network, Local Knowledge
From our London base we draw on a global network of hospitals, ground ambulance partners and diplomatic contacts. That combination of local knowledge and international reach means smoother handovers and fewer administrative obstacles.

Clear Communication and Family Support
We provide a single point of contact and regular, plain‑English updates so families and referring clinicians always know what to expect. Our approach reduces uncertainty and keeps everyone focused on the patient’s wellbeing.

The team behind the ethos

Actus Sanctorum guides everything we do. Our team bring that ethos to life: compassionate service, clinical courage, uncompromising integrity and relentless professionalism. Each member is committed to treating every mission as an act of service — with skill, dignity and calm.

Our Story

Emergency Service and Training Ltd began in 2011, born from the shared vision of a group of pre‑hospital clinicians who saw first‑hand the challenges patients faced when needing safe, clinically led medical repatriation. At the time, the sector lacked the professional standards, governance, and patient‑centred approach they believed people deserved. Drawing on years of frontline experience, they set out to build a service that placed clinical excellence, dignity, and seamless coordination at its core. What started as a small team with a clear mission has grown into a trusted provider known for delivering compassionate, reliable, and expertly managed repatriation across the globe, always guided by the same principles that inspired its inception.

Experience

With years of global aeromedical experience, our teams have safely supported patients on flights worldwide, delivering clinically led care with professionalism and precision.

Working Ethos

Our ethos is built on professionalism, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to patient‑centred care. We hold ourselves to the highest clinical and operational standards, working collaboratively and with purpose to ensure every mission is delivered safely, respectfully, and with unwavering attention to detail.

Clear Standards

We operate to clear, transparent standards that underpin every aspect of our service. From clinical governance to operational delivery, our processes are designed to ensure consistency, accountability, and the highest level of patient care on every mission.

Clinical Excellence

Clinical governance sits at the heart of everything we do. Our systems ensure every mission is delivered safely, ethically, and in line with robust clinical standards. Through continuous audit, reflective practice, and evidence‑based protocols, we maintain accountability and uphold the highest level of care for every patient we support.

What Our Customers Say

I engaged ESAT for a medical escort from Thailand to Vancouver in first‑class and was very impressed. The team carried out a prompt clinical assessment, co‑ordinated permits and flight logistics, and ensured a smooth handover at the receiving hospital. Travelling first‑class made the journey considerably more comfortable, but it was the clinical care that stood out: the escort maintained vigilant monitoring, managed medications precisely and liaised effectively with the cabin crew and insurers. Communication was clear throughout, and ground transfers were seamless. The operation was professional, efficient and reassuring, and I would not hesitate to recommend their service.

I used Emergency Service and Training Ltd for an air ambulance transfer from Malawi to Chicago and was extremely impressed. From my first call, the team was calm, efficient, and reassuring. They completed a thorough clinical assessment, organized the flight plan, and secured all necessary permits and clearances quickly and professionally.

The medical crew were outstanding, skilled, attentive, and compassionate. They managed monitoring and medications precisely throughout the journey, and the patient remained stable and comfortable. Ground transfers at both ends were seamless, with stretcher and ambulance handovers coordinated without any issues. Communication was consistent and clear, with regular updates to family and the receiving hospital.

The handover in Chicago was thorough, ensuring continuity of care and providing complete documentation for the receiving clinical team. The entire operation felt safe, well organized, and deeply humane. I would wholeheartedly recommend their air ambulance service.

I cannot praise Emergency Service and Training Ltd highly enough for the repatriation from Hong Kong to London. From the initial clinical assessment to the final hospital handover, their team displayed exceptional professionalism, compassion and attention to detail. Communication was clear throughout: flight planning, permits and insurer liaison were handled promptly, and I was kept informed at every stage. The medical escort provided continuous, calm clinical care, managing medications and monitoring with confidence. Ground transfers, stretcher arrangements and documentation were seamless, which made a highly stressful situation far more manageable. The whole operation felt safe, efficient and deeply humane. I would recommend their repatriation service without hesitation.
