Medical Repatriation Across Asia

Asia

Worldwide point-to-point medical transport to, from and within Asia.

ESAT coordinates clinically led international patient transfers between Asian destinations and countries worldwide.

Our operations team supports families, hospitals, insurers, assistance companies and healthcare partners with complete medical repatriation planning. Every journey is designed around the patient’s clinical needs, location, destination and urgency.

Transfers do not need to begin or end in the United Kingdom. For journeys involving Britain, see our medical repatriation UK service. ESAT can coordinate point-to-point journeys within Asia or between Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.

We liaise directly with the sending and receiving medical teams, arrange the appropriate transport and maintain continuity of care through to final handover.

Medical transport options across Asia

The appropriate transport method is selected following clinical review and consideration of distance, airline availability, mobility, treatment requirements and urgency.

Dedicated air ambulance

For critical, complex or time-sensitive cases, ESAT can arrange a private fixed-wing air ambulance with an aeromedical team and equipment selected for the patient’s condition.

Commercial medical escort

Clinically stable patients may travel on a scheduled flight with an experienced nurse, paramedic or doctor. We coordinate airline medical clearance, seating, mobility support and in-flight care.

Asia medical repatriation FAQs

Can ESAT transfer a patient between two Asian countries?

Yes. ESAT coordinates point-to-point international patient transfers within Asia as well as journeys connecting Asia with other regions worldwide.

Does every patient require a private air ambulance?

No. Where a patient is medically stable and airline requirements can be met, a commercial medical escort or stretcher arrangement may be appropriate. The safest option follows individual clinical review.

Can ESAT communicate directly with hospitals?

Yes. With the appropriate authority, our team can liaise with the treating and receiving facilities to gather clinical information, coordinate discharge and plan the final handover.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Useful information includes the patient’s current location, intended destination, recent medical report, diagnosis, mobility, treatment and equipment requirements, and the contact details for the relevant facilities.
