Becoming a paramedic was a lifelong ambition for Ben, which he achieved in 2018. Since qualifying, he has developed his clinical knowledge and skills as a frontline paramedic in London and the surrounding areas. He also undertakes private domiciliary medical calls, providing essential care at home and helping patients avoid unnecessary A&E attendance or hospital admission where clinically appropriate.
Ben began his emergency-care career as a volunteer first responder with Hatzola, a non-profit organisation providing free pre-hospital emergency response and transport to the North London community. During more than 11 years of volunteering, he progressed to become an IHCD Emergency Medical Technician. His commitment to serving the community led him to leave his former career as a chartered surveyor and become a full-time HCPC-registered paramedic.
Family-oriented and community-minded, Ben continues to volunteer with Hatzola alongside his frontline and domiciliary work.
